Laundry Rooms are relatively small, straight forward projects that result in improved function and efficiency of the chore of 'doing laundry'. Typically, there are minimal storage containers and organizing tools needed, and the tools that ARE used usually enhance the aesthetic of the space for a win win situation.
Utility Rooms or mixed Laundry Room/Utility Rooms, on the contrary, can be the opposite of the former description. Since utility rooms tend to house items like cleaners, rags, batteries, light bulbs, common house tools, etc., suddenly there are a lot more homes to create. These rooms usually do need storage bins and organizing tools to help keep things sorted in their respective homes.
Cost for these projects can vary depending on the scope. A simple laundry room is a flat fee with the added cost for goods, while a large laundry/utility room is based on the amount stored in the room, if significant purging needs to be done and how many tools you will need for your aesthetic of choice. Timing for completion can vary from one to three days, including shopping time.
